Our Story

Incorporated in 2002, Prominent Homes has made great strides in establishing ourselves in the custom home building industry. Our Founder and Chief Builder, Brian Bunting is a former millwright and comes from many generations of skilled family craftsmen- even a great grandfather in England was a homebuilder. I guess you can say it was 'in his blood'.

Brian and Debra built their first family home on a Grand River country lot in Cayuga. Letting their children pick the colours of their bedrooms (purple and blue) and even installing a 'stop sign' window at their daughters' request. It was such a fun experience that after a few years Brian and Debra decided to move and build another home in Port Dover. While visiting with their new neighbours, Brian and Debra were troubled by the constructions stories being told. Debra turned to Brian and said, "What this world needs is a good and honest builder" and the rest is history...
